Southwest Power Pool reaches milestone in acceleration of generation interconnection requests

LITTLE ROCK, ARK. — As a result of significant effort and process improvements, Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is proud to announce completion of its plan to clear the backlog of requests in the SPP generator interconnection (GI) queue. This milestone allows SPP to transition toward implementation of its revolutionary Consolidated Planning Process (CPP). Upon approval of the CPP by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), SPP will be able to significantly accelerate the addition of new generating resources to the grid.
